Preview: Simba v Kagera Sugar
- Updated: September 19, 2015
Simba will look to maintain their strong start in the Vodacom Premier League when they host Kagera Sugar on Sunday.
With maximum points from the first two league matches and no goals conceded, Simba head coach, Dylan Kerr will be hoping his side can maintain their perfect start against an unpredictable Kagera Sugar side.
Simba will bank on Ugandan international, Hamisi Kiiza who has scored two goals in as many matches so far.
Senegalese import, Pape N’daw who had a cameo appearance against Mgambo might enjoy a few more minutes from the bench.
Abdi Banda is out with an injury and Jonas Mkude is still rehabilitating.
Kagera Sugar opened their season campaign away to Mbeya City before travelling to Songea for a midweek game against Majimaji. They defeated Mbeya City 1-0 but lost with the same margin against newly promoted, Majimaji.
Coach Mbwana Makata might fear for the physical and mental condition of his players who have had little time to recover in between matches.
Former Simba striker, Adam Kingwande and Iddy Kulachi are expected to lead Kagera Sugar attack.
Last season Kagera Sugar won 1-0 in Dar in the first half of the season, while Simba triumphed 2-1 in the reverse fixture played in Shinyanga.
Simba’s line-up in their 2-0 victory over Mgambo: Peter Manyika, Mohamed Hussen, Hassan Kessy, Murushid Juuko, Hassan Isihaka, Justice Majabvi, Awadh Juma, Said Hamisi Ndemla (Pape N’daw 86’), Mussa Hassan Mgosi ( Ibrahim Hajibu 67’), Mwinyi Kazimoto( Hamisi Kiiza 46′), Peter Mwalyanzi.
